E17-Ziekenhuisnetwerk’s reputation for outstanding patient care is a result of its tradition of collaborative innovation. Central to its mission is AZ Maria Middelares hospital, which handles a broad range of medical services across five locations.
The overhaul of AZ Maria Middelares’ data environment began in 2016, when it recognized the need for a long-term vision for analytics. Key requirements included a dynamic tool capable of handling a diverse range of data sources and distributing key information through user-friendly dashboards and applications.

When AZ Maria Middelares ran test cases on Qlik Cloud Analytics, it was a transformative turning point. Qlik was the analytics platform it needed, and one that would seamlessly access multiple data sources, including the hospital’s new data warehouse.
It marked the start of a process during which AZ Maria Middelares overhauled its internal server setup, elevated the quality of the data it was accessing, and ensured the usefulness of the resulting analytics. Its focus areas were patient administration, finance and accounting, and billing.
