REEDS Jewelers is a US retail specialist with nearly 80 years of experience. It’s an authorized distributor of some of the world’s most desired brands and is enjoying ongoing success. In addition to its traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ growth, REEDS identified new digital opportunities.

As REEDS looked to complement its business with a growing ecommerce platform, the barriers to developing a data-driven operation were obvious. It needed a solution that would address these issues, put meaningful data into the hands of end users and give the company a valuable business intelligence tool.

Fortunately for REEDS, CIO Arthur Phidd knew where to look. He’d used Qlik Sense in previous roles, understood its capabilities and saw what it could do for the business.

The value Phidd was looking for was scattered across a range of digital sources, including Fulfillment by Amazon, Meta’s Facebook Marketplace, its internal point-of-sale and online channels, a legacy AS/400 system and other external platforms.

Qlik Sense offered REEDS a solution that would meet all its needs and give opportunities for deployment across the business.

Efficient processes, evolving strategies

The impact on REEDS is impressive, with the business reporting 300% growth in digital revenue since 2017. Qlik is also optimizing processes and informing decisions across REEDS, from fulfilment to project management, improving the management of important business transformation initiatives.

As REEDS builds sales and its Qlik deployment, plans are in place to use AI to take its understanding of customer journeys to new levels. It is also looking to migrate to Qlik Cloud to leverage all the benefits of subscribing to the Qlik service.
