Spotlight: Healthcare Innovation
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) received the Excellence in Healthcare Award for transforming patient care and operational efficiency with Qlik Analytics. By centralising data, building accessible dashboards, and streamlining workflows, CHHHS empowered clinicians to make evidence-based decisions.
“We had a dream – a flexible, up to the minute, reporting dashboard to help us audit our activity for quality, provide data for accreditation and safety purposes, plan our services better, measure our direct care and our preventive care,” said Jacqueline Mein, Clinical Director of Cairns Sexual Health Service, CHHHS. “The overarching goal of this is to provide a quality patient service which was responsive to staff, patient, and management needs, and informed by real-time data.”
Spotlight: Sustainability Leadership
The Australian National University (ANU) was awarded the ESG-Centred App Innovation Award for its Solar Power Generation Dashboard. A cornerstone of the university’s Below Zero Initiative, the dashboard uses Qlik Sense to monitor and optimise solar investments, paving the way for future integration with battery storage systems that will strengthen campus energy resilience.
“With this dashboard, we’ve turned our sustainability ambitions into a measurable reality,” said Rajeel Naicker, Building Controls Systems Engineer, ANU. “It provides transparency across our entire solar network, ensures accountability against our Below Zero targets, and demonstrates how universities can lead the way in creating smarter, greener energy systems for the future.”
Closing the evening, Mr Garavello added:
“We congratulate all the winners for their remarkable achievements and look forward to supporting their continued innovation journeys with Qlik.”
