I just returned from an epic trip to the French Alps, where I joined friends in the “Meet Your Mountain” challenge around Mont Blanc to raise money for charity. Although our team narrowly missed the trophy, it was an incredibly fulfilling experience to take in the beauty of our surroundings, while smashing our fundraising target!
At Qlik, we have met our own mountain on our journey to help organizations adopt cloud analytics – and the momentum we have reached this year has been an incredibly fulfilling experience on its own. Over the last year, we have seen a nearly 400% growth in active users of Qlik Cloud, with the number of apps created in one day reaching over 1,500 apps.
Global home improvement retailer Leroy Merlin has been one of our customers at the forefront of this adoption journey, taking advantage of the full power of Qlik Cloud to deliver actionable analytics to thousands of users, including store employees. By moving their analytics from on-premise to the cloud, they were able to reduce server and hardware costs by 70%. Global retailer Urban Outfitters is also leading the way in its adoption of Qlik Cloud, which allows every store employee to get up to the minute data on all aspects of the individual store’s KPIs and act on those insights immediately.
Qlik Cloud is helping organizations around the globe achieve great value, not only because of the scale and cost efficiencies the cloud provides, but also because it allows them to take advantage of new capabilities, innovate the way they manage their data and ultimately make better and quicker decisions for their business. Today, 8 of our top 10 customers are automating their data and analytics workflows with Qlik Application Automation, to create an analytics data pipeline that can connect with popular SaaS applications such as Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams and more. The number of users for our Catalog & Lineage capability, which helps you fully understand the data flowing through your analytics data pipelines, continues to grow. And we have already seen immediate uptake for Qlik AutoML, our powerful predictive analytics solution we just introduced in Qlik Cloud a few weeks ago.
Many of our customers, Leroy Merlin included, used client-managed Qlik Sense or QlikView before migrating to Qlik Cloud. To support customers on this journey and help them adopt Qlik Cloud at their own pace, earlier this year we launched a Migration Center hosting a rich library of resources, tools and best practices.
As the sun slowly starts to set on this year, we are not ready to get off this metaphorical mountain. We just launched new data integration capabilities in Qlik Cloud. Qlik Cloud Data Integration is designed to help analytics and data engineers unify, transform and deliver enterprise-quality data via automated, efficient and governed data pipelines. Our solution ensures that regardless of where the data originates or what format it takes, that we can securely deliver it to the right destination, in the right shape, in near real time while leveraging a common set of cloud services to make data easy to find, manipulate and govern.
We are also introducing new security and compliance capabilities so that more organizations can adopt Qlik Cloud:
We recently announced that we achieved FedRAMP authorization for Qlik Cloud Government for the benefit of our customers in the US public sector. Qlik is the only comprehensive Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) data analytics platform to achieve this FedRAMP designation.
We have completed the Trust Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) assessment, a standard which provides the European automotive industry a consistent, standardized approach to information security systems.
For organizations with strict encryption and governance requirements, Customer Managed Keys will allow them to bring their own encryption keys to protect their data in Qlik Cloud.
With HIPAA/HITRUST Compliance, US Healthcare and Life Sciences organizations subject to US HIPAA regulatory requirements will soon be able to take advantage of Qlik Cloud's full potential including the ability to use Personal Health Information (PHI) data within the platform.
We are also introducing additional enhancements to Qlik Cloud. Our reporting capabilities will soon support Microsoft PowerPoint output so business users can produce presentation-ready capabilities with their desired analytics. And I am also happy to report that we are offering multitenancy provisioning in Qlik Cloud for both OEM ISV partners and enterprise customers. This provides them with the ability to automate with flexible Cloud APIs key onboarding and maintenance tasks including tenant creation, configuration and ongoing content hydration at scale.
