Driving Impact Through Data: Qlik’s Commitment to Sustainability and Social Good

Qlik is committed to operating as a sustainable business. That encompasses not only our internal processes and programs but also how we leverage our technology and tools to help our partners navigate pressing global challenges, from climate action to humanitarian aid, education, health and human rights. We are in the fortunate position to help create positive change and connect our employees, partners and customers to better our world.

In 2024, Qlik marked a milestone: since introducing our Technology Grant Program in 2012, we have provided $40 million in free Qlik software and training to nonprofits worldwide. While we are proud of this investment, we are by far most proud of how these grants have helped organizations expand their reach and realize their missions. I invite you to explore the case studies in this report and learn about the myriad ways nonprofits are using Qlik to create a positive impact.

Announcing Qlik’s participation in the UN Global Compact was a true highlight of the past year. Joining the Compact represented a new chapter in our multi-year partnership with the UN to further global sustainability initiatives and to leverage data and AI to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are excited to deepen our work with the UN, empowering its agencies to use data and AI to drive more effective decision-making. In working with nonprofits, we believe in the power of long-term partnerships. As we support global sustainability programs, we maintain our sharp focus on reducing our own environmental footprint. In 2024, we completed an updated GHG inventory, which will serve as the baseline for tracking progress against our 2030 Net Zero targets, and we invested in improving our GHG data collection capabilities. We design our products to be energy efficient, and we partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based hosting, recognizing that AWS’ platform substantially reduces emissions.

At Qlik, inclusion and belonging are reflected in our core values, particularly our value of “We Succeed Together.” As we recognize and celebrate our different experiences and ways of thinking, we create the conditions that drive our growth and progress. We continued our strong commitment to our “Qlik for All” programming, including employee-led, self-organized groups that foster our culture of collaboration. We further advanced inclusion through training, an annual summit, and community partnerships.

Through our Qlik.org programs, our employees continued to show their support for local and global causes. Over the past year, Qlikkies supported more than 1,400 organizations through giving and volunteering, making the most of our volunteer programs and corporate matching donations.

As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our commitment to sustainability. While we look back on the past year with a sense of accomplishment, we know much work is ahead – and through our innovation, partnerships, and remarkable employees, we have tremendous opportunities to advance these efforts.
