What Is Qlik Application Automation?
Qlik Application Automation is native to Qlik Cloud and helps
you easily create workflows that streamline and optimize your data and
analytics processes. Its visual approach lets you quickly assemble automated
flows that span market-leading SaaS applications to trigger alerts and invoke
downstream processes that react to changes in your business. Consequently, you
spend less time programming back-office tasks that drive automated actions, leaving
you more time for data analysis.
Qlik Application Automation is available to all Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS customers and includes an allocation of 5,000 automation runs per tenant month. Furthermore, we believe there’s three broad scenarios where customers will see immediate benefit from Qlik Application Automation, and they are as follows:
- Drive Insights to Action: We’ve mentioned this already, but you can use Qlik Application Automation to initiate actions not only in response to business events, but also by directly triggering other downstream processes. Automations can be manually started, run on a schedule, initiated from an API or called by a webbook event. Therefore, driving automations with contextual data from analytics applications is a breeze.
- Simplify SaaS Integrations: You can use Qlik Application Automation to connect to market-leading SaaS applications, such as Salesforce, Slack and MS Teams, and integrate those systems in a business process without the need to understand their low-level APIs. Just drag and drop the smart blocks to build your workflow logic. Currently, we support over 30 connectors, with more being released every month.
- Increase Analytics DevOps Productivity: The last category might sound mundane, but it’s no less important to the Qlik Sense SaaS customer. Qlik Application Automation allows you to orchestrate both your tenant administration and your Qlik Sense applications, too! You can now create flows that could provision your spaces, add new measures to a group of apps or send app reload statuses to your coworkers via Slack or MS Teams messages and more, without hand scripting.
