Our Planet Is Facing a Climate Crisis. Join Qlik and C40 Cities to Help Solve It!

This month, Qlik and C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group has launched the Qlik Datathon, a series of challenges to help solve some of the issues at the heart of our current climate crisis.

Led by Qlik.org and our Qlik Academic Program, we are asking students across the globe to develop data and analytic solutions for a climate resilient earth to support healthy ecosystems in multiple geographies. There are multiple challenges, all related to a global set of cities, plus an additional “choose your own challenge” option. All entries will be reviewed and judged by Qlik, C40 Cities and other experts from climate organizations. Winners will be announced in April and presented at QlikWorld in Phoenix, AZ, in May.

Individuals and teams can participate from anywhere around the world on the global challenges. Specific details around each of the challenges, how to register, how to submit entries, judging criteria and prizes has launched today, February 7th. Terms and conditions are contained within registration instructions. Final submissions will be due April 3rd.

Datathon student participants will gain exposure to climate expert organizations, Qlik customers and partners, earn opportunities to have solutions presented at EarthX in Dallas and QlikWorld in Phoenix, win cash prizes and more!

The Qlik Academic Program provides qualified university professors, students and researchers with free Qlik software and resources to help educate and train the next generation of experts leading with data. Sign up today by visiting: qlik.com/academicprogram.
