Imagine a floating hospital that transports medical care and life-saving surgeries to where people need it most. That is exactly the mission of international charity, Mercy Ships.
Working collaboratively with African nations, its state-of-the-art hospital ships bring world-class volunteer medical professionals directly to the places they are needed most, addressing surgical needs and helping to train local medical teams to care for people after they leave.
But, how does it ensure that it has people on board with the right medical skills? And how does it manage the swathes of volunteer applications it receives from around the world?
In the inaugural “Data Brilliant – Unplugged” on LinkedIn Live, our host Kate Strachnyi, Founder of Story by Data, spoke to Mercy Ships to find out.
Watch the video below to hear directly from Mercy Ships and discover how the charity partnered with Qlik, Differentia Consulting and Vizlib, to harness the power of data analytics and build bespoke apps to identify trends in its data to inform decision making across the company.
Thanks to Mercy Ships for being our first guest on Data Brilliant – Unplugged, which is all about live and real conversations with customers about remarkable transformations with data.
As the series continues, we hope to shine a bright light on a wide-range of customer stories and supporting partners – from the highly-inspirational to the highly-technical.
