CHALLENGE

Gaining actionable insights from multiple internal and external sources

South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN) is one of 31 not-for-profit health organizations in Australia, funded by the Federal Department of Health and Aged Care. Its role is to allocate government funding to meet specific healthcare needs in its area and to report to the government on the delivery and effectiveness of healthcare services.

Delivering both objectives requires access to and analysis of multiple internal and external datasets. It must also enable healthcare providers in its region to securely submit and review operational data.

APPROACH

Qlik Cloud Analytics migration to improve accessibility and data-driven decision-making

SWSPHN was using Qlik Sense® Client-Managed on-premises for its analysis and reporting. It engaged Notitia to assess its technology’s alignment with organizational goals, processes and future needs, which led to a recommendation for strategic cloud migration. Notitia subsequently executed the end-to-end migration, managed integration with multiple data sources, developed user guides, conducted staff training and assisted with custom Qlik app development.

By moving to the cloud, SWSPHN was looking to benefit from secure real-time access to data for employees and external bodies, improved collaboration between teams and easier integration with existing and future external sources.

RESULTS

Better informed decision making leading to better health service delivery

SWSPHN went live with its Qlik Cloud® Analytics implementation in April 2024 and has since launched several projects to take advantage of its enhanced functionality.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

Qlik greatly increases data capabilities

Implementing Qlik Cloud Analytics gives organizations the ability to securely access live data from both cloud and non-cloud sources, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and enabling the development of tailored dashboards that offer valuable insights into operational performance.

As well as eliminating the need for on-premises server maintenance, the cloud implementation delivers significant cost savings, improves system reliability and scalability and enables users to integrate new sources as their requirements evolve.

Some of the key challenges we have are unstructured datasets and data coming from all over. That’s where Qlik is such a key enabler. When we set up particular data sources, we’re able to share them among our data team very easily.
