CHALLENGE

Reflecting a growing requirement

Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) believes education shouldn’t be limited to a student’s main degree course and developed the ARU Certificate for Professional Development (ARUCPD) program as a co-curricular set of modules for students.

“A module covering data and analytics was developed in response to feedback from the employability team,” explains Tina Jia, Lecturer Practitioner at the ARU Faculty of Business and Law. “The ability to use, analyze and interpret data is increasingly seen as highly desirable, and as educators we have to reflect that.”

APPROACH

A highly effective approach

As well as providing free access to Qlik Sense for students and educators, the Qlik Academic Program gave Jia comprehensive, ready-to-use training on which to base the new Business Analytics and Data Visualization with Qlik module. She soon had a fully developed course to present to the faculty and its students.
