What a Qlik Connect!
Live from the buzzing show floor in Orlando, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Sally Jacobs for a special Qlik Connect LinkedIn Live session to reflect on an incredible Day 1 keynote. From major product launches to strategic momentum, it was one of the most exciting mornings I’ve experienced in my time at Qlik.
1. Positive External Energy
Let’s start with the buzz. The energy in the Keynote Theater was phenomenal, with customers and partners bringing their passion. But what really struck me was the external validation. The big-picture vision we set last year is becoming reality - and people outside our ecosystem are noticing.
We had IDC’s Ritu Jyoti join us on stage to talk about the state of AI and automation. We saw ADIA step in as a new investor and Thoma Bravo reinvest - a rare move in private equity. And we heard from customers who made it clear: Qlik is helping move companies from AI ambition to AI execution.
As someone who works on Qlik’s long-term strategy, it’s incredibly gratifying to see our vision resonate with such a broad audience.
2. Qlik Open Lakehouse: Built to Scale AI
This is a major step forward for our platform - and it’s happening fast.
Qlik Open Lakehouse combines open architecture, real-time performance, and enterprise-grade governance. It’s a fully integrated part of our end-to-end platform, and it’s built for today’s AI-first world.
What’s even more exciting is the early impact:
50% cost savings through workload optimization
5x faster query performance with Adaptive Optimizer
It’s fast. It’s governed. And it doesn’t require stitching together five different tools to make it work. This is what cloud-native AI enablement should look like.
And yes - the Upsolver acquisition played a huge role here. One of Qlik’s superpowers is the ability to acquire amazing technology and integrate it seamlessly. We don’t bolt on - we build in.
3. The Next Generation of Qlik Answers & the Agentic Experience
This one’s personal. Over a year ago, a small team of us began mapping out the future of what would become Qlik Answers—and now, we’re seeing it evolve into something truly transformative.
The next generation of Qlik Answers delivers contextual insights and even triggers automated actions, across both structured and unstructured data. It’s fully embedded into the Qlik experience and it’s just the beginning.
Coming later this year: the Discovery Agent, a personalized feed that proactively delivers insights, not just responses. And that’s just what we can talk about now. There’s more coming soon - and it’s going to change how people engage with data.
4. The Impact Enhancers
These maybe didn’t get the headlines, but they’re going to make a real difference.
I call them impact enhancers—features that deliver huge value for data teams, developers, and business users alike:
Data Products from QVDs
RAG Knowledge Marts
DevOps-ready Pipelines with version control and deployment APIs
Proactive Insights
Multivariate Forecasting
Write Tables
Each of these is designed to close the gap between data and decision - and taken together, they represent a leap forward in how Qlik helps customers drive outcomes.
5. A More Accessible Cloud
We all know cloud is the future - but not every organization is there yet. That’s why I’m so proud of how Qlik is helping customers move to the cloud on their terms.
We announced three new Qlik Cloud regions for 2025 - bringing us to four new regions in total this year. We also launched the Qlik Analytics Migration Tool, making it easier for on-premises customers to take the first step without disruption.
And the presence of Mark Relph from AWS on stage was a real moment. This isn’t just a technical partnership - it’s a deep collaboration. Together, we’re delivering secure, scalable, enterprise-grade AI and analytics in the cloud.
