CHALLENGE

Balancing volume, speed, and autonomy

As a leader in the distribution of electrification products and services for professionals, Rexel places data at the heart of its transformation. With more than 3 million sales lines per month and teams spread across the country, Rexel needed to balance data volume, user autonomy, and fast access to information. The first version of its sales performance app generated strong adoption, but the accumulation of information made usage less fluid. The challenge was to maintain the richness of analysis while simplifying the user experience.

APPROACH

Migrating to the cloud for faster deployment

The move to Qlik Cloud® Analytics provided the opportunity to completely redesign the application: streamlined information hierarchy, modernized design, personalized user journeys, and seamless mobile accessibility. The cloud also enabled Rexel to replace legacy Power BI apps while extending Qlik usage to a much larger number of employees—at a controlled cost. Teams now rely on a shared BI framework, fed by diverse sources (ERP, CRM, e-commerce, Google tools, accounting, etc.), ensuring reliable and contextualized analytics.

RESULTS

Mass adoption and sharper action plans

More than 3,000 employees now use Qlik, including 1,200 sales representatives. The Performance app from the sales department is used daily to track goals and optimize action plans. Analytics are precise and shared across purchasing, marketing, pricing, finance, and HR—allowing departments to collaborate on the same KPIs for more targeted action plans with tangible ROI.

Additional Qlik applications have been developed for all business functions, enabling decision-making on the same trusted data while giving users the flexibility to apply personalized analysis criteria.

Qlik turns information into a true competitive advantage, serving both strategy and field operations.
