CHALLENGE
A vision of market leadership
Epta is a growing business with big ambitions. When it announced a joint venture with Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions, Epta’s goal was to consolidate its position in Central and Northern Europe (CNE), combining with Viessmann’s expertise to build a formidable regional presence.
Its success soon led to the decision to allow the newly formed Epta CNE to take full control of operations and separate from Viessmann. This would also involve separating the joint SAP environment, giving Epta the data to operate as a sole entity in a demanding timeline of less than six months.

APPROACH
A clear plan with clear evidence
Epta was working on other projects with Accenture, and its team contacted Epta with a suggestion that Qlik Gold Client would be an effective solution.
The company worked with Qlik to set the requirements and establish how Qlik Gold Client would deliver value. The most challenging aspect was extracting the SAP customized data, which contained cross-client system configurations that weren’t clearly isolated. Qlik Gold Client allowed Epta to access that data and prove that there wouldn’t be any leaks when the extraction was in progress.

RESULTS
A smooth, successful delivery
The project was completed on schedule, to plan, and with a go-live time of under 48 hours. The smooth process enabled by Qlik Gold Client delivered a clean, transparent separation, with Epta CNE now operating fully independently of Viessmann with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
For Epta, business as usual means growth, and its new market dominance will see this rise considerably. It also paves the way for further use of Qlik Gold Client as Epta’s M&A strategy continues.
