The Support Team
At Qlik, our support Technicians are our HEROES. That’s because our technicians do more than manage complex support cases they are determined, resilient and have an unshakable positive mindset. Our team consists of 30 people today from multiple international backgrounds, who work and play closely together. We have a larger Global support team that we interact with daily, with locations in Sydney, Tokyo, Raleigh USA and Bangalore India. We think you will love it here!

How you will spend your time as our next Technical Support Engineer

Qlik Supports vision is to provide data-driven world-class support. We provide continuous, proactive and personalized service to ensure that our customers are successful in their work. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be an important part of Qlik’s continued success. Here you will be working with Qlik’s products that are installed "on top" of Microsoft Windows systems and are interacting with it. Working together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving customer technical issues. The role involves great responsibility and opportunity to develop your inter-personal skills but also learn our market leading products and how they work in a complex and powerful environment.

In the daily work duties includes:

  • Handle and answer questions on various complex deployment and infrastructure problems that Qlik clients need help with
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging
  • Take responsibility for ensuring customers always receive first-class support
  • Collaborating with a wider Global support team to solve customer technical issues
  • Using and maintaining knowledge base
  • Presenting upgrade advice and Best practice troubleshooting to customers & partners

You will be successful if you have

  • A relevant post-secondary education in IT systems or equivalent
  • excellent English is a must.
  • Experience in Log File Analysis
  • Software deployment and installation experience
  • Network environments (LAN, switches, load balancers, reverse proxy, …) knowledge
  • Experience in administering and troubleshooting systems such as: Windows server, web servers and services, storage, and active directory
  • Knowledge about virtualization environments and cloud based technologies (Azure, VMware, AWS, …)
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing applications, OS, and networks issues experience
  • Hardware and performance troubleshooting
  • PowerShell and script automation is an advantage
  • Database administration (PostgreSQL) is an advantage
  • Have previous experience of customer facing roles.

As a person, you are communicative and you like to have many contacts both within and outside the company. You like to work with proactive problem solving. Furthermore, you have the ability to prioritize when there is much to do.

Besides a great technical interest, we have no specific requirements on the techniques. So, whether you have a background in system administration, infrastructure architecture, or any other system and network role, you can be the right candidate for the position. We are rather looking for a person who has a talent with a sense of problem solving and ability, together with others, to deliver solutions that are optimally adapted to the situation or requests.
