The Marketing Automation Developer (Marketo Developer) is responsible for system operations within Global Marketing Operations in support of marketing and sales record management as well as global and regional campaign executions. Marketing automation experience – specifically with Marketo & Salesforce - is vital in this critical role which ensures record management (campaigns & contacts) are all processed efficiently between the integrated applications and system environments. Responsibilities include; monitor, analyze, and tune processes in the marketing automation and salesforce.com systems to improve campaign effectiveness, system processes lead flows, account and contact record synchs, and overall system efficiencies. This role will also partner with SFDC operations teams in sales ops, support, Web\IT and various contractual third party vendors to maintain integrity of the overall implementation, data quality, process efficiencies and user support.
Role and Responsibilities Includes (not limited to):
Serve as marketing automation/workflow design expert for the team. Work with Corporate & Regional marketing (EMEA, APAC, AMER) to provide recommendations and design for regional implementations.
Regularly analyze and report on effectiveness of overall automation programs: identifying opportunities for improvement, recommending changes in the workflow design, or suggesting best practices that can be leveraged across the team.
Provide marketing program level reporting
Design and properly QA email nurture workflows built in Marketo
Develop streamlined processes for managing updates and changes to the nurture/automation production process.
Quickly understands the business issues and operation challenges, and address them
Work cross-functionally with other teams for resolving issues
Willingness to perform data administrative and clerical duties during start up phase of program
Actively coordinate and manage the activity of uploading different Geo contacts/leads into Marketo & SFDC for marketing campaigns
Define and establish data quality processes, procedures, tools, and documentation for list data
Assist building the organizational Marketing Ops processes, policies, SLA and assure compliance across the team
3+ years’ experience in marketing operation including experience in implementing leads and campaigns processes in SFA and Marketo.
Mastery in building out record flow processes in marketing automation systems – especially Marketo Campaign/program Builds – in support of integrations, via APIs, into salesforce.com. Prior experience in Marketo is a must.
Experience with sales automation systems highly desirable; knowledge of salesforce.com a plus.
Experience in B to B high tech.
Proactive, self-starter with drive to build first class operations and infrastructure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Mandatory Skills / Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience with building programs in Marketo
