Senior Product Manager

The role of Senior Product Manager


As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for helping to deliver on the overall Strategic Direction and Vision for the Qlik product portfolio. As a product leader, you will manage business requirements, functional requirements and backlog in support of the development of the Qlik software platform. You will collaborate closely with R&D, Product Marketing, Sales/Support and professional services to collect feedback and communicate the direction of the product.  Additionally, you will represent Qlik to the external community including, clients, media and the analyst community.

How you will spend your time

  • Working with other Product Managers and members of R&D to ensure the delivery of high value, high quality, and differentiated solutions to market.
  • Working directly with customers and partners to understand their business challenges and translating those into product requirements.
  • Working directly with customers and partners to perform validation.
  • Collaborating throughout Qlik to define and deliver commercially successful products and services that advance the strategy of our company and increase the value of the enterprise.
  • Helping to drive breakthrough innovations that allow customers to deliver analytics to thousands of users via SaaS offerings and a range of modern cloud technologies.
  • Establishing and fostering a culture of customer-focused innovation, including a consistent and thorough process to understand customer needs.
  • Helping to ensure adherence across the product management function to key activities in the innovation and go-to-market process (e.g. competitive analysis, release readiness).
  • Delivering user stories, use cases, business requirements, and functional requirements according to industry best practices.


You will be successful if you have

  • Degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Sciences, is preferred.
  • A strong technical background in the areas of SaaS or cloud computing, with the ability to identify how technology can deliver business value.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing complex enterprise software portfolios and developing and delivering on measurable goals.
  • Relevant product management experience, including managing product portfolios;
  • Experience working with and managing geographically distributed teams.
  • Business acumen and understanding of early-stage corporate enterprise value creation. 
  • A big-picture perspective with a passion for success and willingness to dive into the details necessary to achieve it.
  • Previous experience in technical product development is desirable.
  • Related experience with data analytics technology a bonus.
  • Experience in scrum-based Agile development methodology. 
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements in support of product development.
  • Experience working alongside R&D and other teams to deliver products, including working directly with teams comprised of a variety of skills.
  • Direct product delivery experience identifying commercially viable products and release planning.

  • Sales oriented and skilled as an asset to assist sales to close business without compromising product integrity.
