Senior Product Manager - Augmented Intelligence

The role of Senior Product Manager

 

As a Senior Product Manager you will drive the roadmap for the Augmented Intelligence capabilities of the Qlik Sense product. You will use your experience of machine learning and advanced analytics to identify how technology can support human intuition to find insights in data for users of all data literacy levels. You will manage business & functional requirements to that keep Qlik a market leader in this space and attract new customers.  You will maintain a backlog and collaborate closely with R&D to execute. You will also work with Product Marketing, Sales, Support and professional services communicate the direction of the product and work with customers to gather feedback.  Additionally, you will represent Qlik to the external community including, clients, media and the analyst community.

How you will spend your time

  • Working with other Product Managers and members of R&D to ensure the delivery of high value, high quality, and differentiated solutions to market.
  • Working directly with customers and partners to understand their business challenges and translating those into product requirements.
  • Working directly with customers and partners to perform validation.
  • Helping to drive breakthrough innovations that allow customers to use technology to find insights in their data.
  • Establishing and fostering a culture of customer-focused innovation, including a consistent and thorough process to understand customer needs.
  • Helping to ensure adherence across the product management function to key activities in the innovation and go-to-market process (e.g. competitive analysis, release readiness).
  • Delivering user stories, use cases, business requirements, and functional requirements according to industry best practices.
  • Your coverage areas will include machine learning, advanced analytics & new user experiences for working with data.

 

You will be successful if you have

  • Degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Sciences, is preferred.
  • A strong technical background in the areas of machine learning & advanced analytics, with the ability to identify how these technologies can help find and visualize insights in data.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing complex enterprise software portfolios and developing and delivering on measurable goals.
  • Relevant product management experience, including managing product portfolios.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Business acumen and understanding of early-stage corporate enterprise value creation. 
  • A big-picture perspective with a passion for success and willingness to dive into the details necessary to achieve it.
  • Previous experience in technical product development is desirable.
  • Related experience with data analytics technology a bonus.
  • Experience in scrum-based Agile development methodology. 
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements in support of product development.
  • Experience working alongside R&D and other teams to deliver products, including working directly with teams comprised of a variety of skills.
  • Direct product delivery experience identifying commercially viable products and release planning.

Location


The role will be ideally be located with our development teams in Ottawa, Canada or Newton, Massachusetts US but could be flexible for the right person.
