Chatelain Jeremy , Data & Analytics Manager / Data Strategy Leader, Gerente DataTeam
Formed as an industrial and computer engineer, I started my career as a Data Engineer at Capgemini in France. In 2015, I joined the ADEO group (third worldwide do it yourself company) working for the Leroy Merlin Brand in France assuming the management of Marketing and Central purchasing data projects. In 2018, 3 weeks before I got married with my wife Marine, I was called in Brazil to assume the responsibility of the data transformation ambitions of the Leroy Merlin local brand. 2022 will be a transition year for me. I should come back to Europe to assume the leadership of another data transformation plan in another brand of the same ADEO group! We will leave Brazil with emotion bringing back our two children born in São Paulo with us.
Leroy Merlin, a global DIY retail giant, decided in its Brazilian operation to adopt Qlik in 2019. After a rapid adoption of several areas, the cost and maintenance of infrastructure proved to be an impediment to making Qlik an enterprise platform. In this presentation, the previous scenario will be demonstrated, with a local deploy of the Qlik Sense solution. What were the challenges and problems faced in this scenario? What were the strategic pillars used in the decision-making process to change the On-premises environment to Qlik Cloud? The steps of planning, financial surveys, tests, deployment of the new environment (carried out in 40 days!) and positive impact on the entire Leroy Merlin Brazil operation will be described.

Vitaliy Trenkenshu , Managing Partner, datanomix.pro
Vitaliy Trenkenshu, Managing Partner at datanomix.pro, a Qlik® Solution Provider. Specializes in helping regulatory government agencies to effectively use data analysis to combat economic and corruption crime. Develops analytical applications that compare data from many different sources, find anomalies, suspicious transactions. These tools focus the attention of auditors on the riskiest transactions, thereby increasing the effectiveness of audits. He developed a new methodology for data analysis for calculating economic and corruption risks in public procurement, which contains 43 risks at all stages from the planning to payments. Over the past 12 years, he has led several large projects in data analysis for law enforcement and regulatory authorities of Kazakhstan: the General Prosecutor's Office, the Financial Monitoring Agency (Economic Investigation Service), the Internal State Audit Committee, the Financial Police, and others. The developed analytical systems revealed various corruption risks and red flags in public procurement, tax evasion, registering shell companies (recorded on nominees), and other violations that cause economic damage to the state. Based on the identified risk factors, auditors did spot checks. In some cases, it was possible to compensate for the damage. And in many cases, they were able to prevent financial losses if the risk was identified at an early stage. The largest anti-fraud data analysis project has brought more than $ 600 million in economic impact.
The sheer volume of public procurement contracts in Kazakhstan makes them impossible to monitor for compliance & efficiency by the relevant authorities, including the The General Prosecutor’s Office, The Financial Monitoring Agency, and The Ministry of Finance. As a result, the annual losses to the state budget were estimated at USD 470 million. The Datanomix team developed an analytical software, using Qlik Active Intelligence, that identifies risky tenders, and contracts, focusing the attention of auditors on items with the highest risks of non-efficient spending. Now governmental auditors are equipped with a powerful award-winning tool that boosts their efficiency and helps them prEvent losses in procuring entities from purchasing overpriced products, saving taxpayers money. As a result, over 86 million USD of taxpayer's money has been saved in 2021.

Steven Forster , Supply Management Specialist, Defense Logistics Agency
After graduating with a Digital Communications degree from Lebanon Valley College in 2005 there weren't many opportunities to utilize my education in central PA. I picked up the only job available at the time in the automotive service industry, which lead to working as an associate at Amazon which transitioned into becoming a forklift driver for Arnold Logistics. An opportunity presented itself to join Defense Logistics Agency as a Material Handler which I gladly took. Working in the warehouse isn't where I wanted to be but I knew it's what I had to do to get to where I wanted to be. Working my way through different promotions I left DLA for a position with the United States Army Security Assistance Command where I gained much of my experience in BI and analytics with a Tableau Certification and acquired my lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from the Army Material Command in 2011. Being presented with an opportunity to return to DLA in 2015 I was able to acquire my MOST certification for Engineered labor standards as a part of the Business and Technology team in J4. In 2016 I was able to join our Operations and Workload Team where I was earned Qlik Certifications in Advanced Geo Analytics Development, Data Analytics, Data Literacy, Advanced-Data Modeling, and Advanced interface Design which allowed me to develop operational business intelligence applications for the DLA Distribution Enterprise. Some of these applications include our customer order fulfillment performance to all service members, support to the COVID strategic missions for the USNS Mercy and Comfort, Covid Vaccine Operations, Covid Test Kit Mission as well as several others.
The utilization of new capabilities has enabled DLA to advance our mission through the development of understandable and actionable ways Senior Leaders can make decisions and drive change in the organization. We’ve been able to increase the quality and speed of our management decisions, communications, and team productivity.

Since these customers are always at risk for discontinuing Qlik, the question of how to move them successfully to Qlik Sense and Qlik SaaS is of utmost importance for the medium- and long-term commercial success of Qlik. By the example of a Managed Tax Analytics solution Deloitte operates for a large international consumer goods producer and retailer, this session will provide insights on: 1) How external shock Events like Brexit or COVID create windows of opportunity for change beyond the pure necessary 2) How internal dynamics and operating modes of Qlik partners can make them agents of change or stagnation 3) The crucial relevance of the Qlik technology partners to face the massive competition from more significant BI vendors.

Did you know that you can built efficient IT Risk Management system using Qlik without major investments of both time and money? Join us for our session with the leading Slovak bank Tatra Banka to explore a solution that significantly automated and simplified the whole IT risk management process, while helping the bank to work interactively with both static and dynamic IT risks. The solution helped to record, manage, analyze and group the IT risks according to the EBA guidelines. From the very low technical details, through the application and business services layer to the granularity of 5 risk areas, to be reported as required. The Bank is now able to review and analyze the risk profile in ICT security across the whole organization. It brought a significant reduction in the workflow of the entire risk management process and the ability to report the overall risk profile of the company at any time. It is now possible to identify exact stage of the risk and owners of the next step of risk processing – everything in one place. Thanks to the solution the bank is now able to effectively enter, record, maintain, manage, evaluate, and approve IT risks including full approval workflow supported by notifications functionality.

Manon Lavergne , Program Manager, Operational Support Services, Ottawa Paramedic Service
Manon is a Program Manager with the Ottawa Paramedic Service located in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, Ontario. The Ottawa Paramedic Service is the sole municipal provider of paramedic services covering 2,778 km2 (1,072 sq. mi) with a population of just under 1,000,000. Ottawa’s Paramedics respond to over 140,000 medical emergencies annually. Manon is responsible for the Operational Support Services division, overseeing the Business Intelligence in Public Safety program, Community Paramedicine, Regulatory Compliance and Infection Control, Research, Emergency Medical Records, Professional Standards and quality assurance as well as the scheduling and staffing. Over the last 25 years, Manon helped evaluate, develop and implement several initiatives related to system performance. Most recently the operationalization of the Patient Priority System dashboard using real-time data has been a significant collaborative project aiming to reduce the impact on the pre-hospital system particularly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a leader in the pre-hospital field, the Ottawa Paramedic Service has a strong Infection Prevention and Control section to ensure the health and safety of our personnel and the community that we serve. Prior to COVID-19, tracking incidental occurrences of biological or infectious disease exposures was easily done with a manual tracking sheet. COVID-19 changed that. The Infection Prevention & Control dashboard was developed in collaboration with our Qlik partner, GINQO. Our goal was to ensure proper contact tracing of potential and/or actual COVID-19 exposures as well as all other infectious diseases. By improving the mechanisms for capturing data, notifying personnel and stakeholders, and documenting the progression of a case, this project ensured better control and monitoring of any infectious disease and ultimately had a significant impact in a pandemic situation. Join this session to learn about the many benefits of the final solution including improved efficiency of the Regulatory Compliance & Infection Control team, increased safety, and provided a robust location for case documentation. Further, the solution captures case information in a way that allows management easy and rapid access to real-time data on infection and workplace trends.

Andreas Vasilas , Ikano
I work as a Qlik Developer at Ikano Bank, where I've been working for approximately 1 year. This is my first time working with Qlik and I'm excited to be part of Ikano Banks transformation from Qlikview to Qlik Sense SaaS. Previously I have some Power BI experience which I believe provided me with good experience to easier get into the Qlik world.
With Qlik Sense SaaS, we found the right motivation for ourselves as well as the arguments for investing and taking a leap on our analytics journey. An organization wide cloud- and SaaS first strategy was in place and had paved parts of the path already. When we listen to our users and see what we can achieve today we can say with confidence that we made the right decision. We have a plan and a goal for our SaaS journey, but as we learn, and the platform evolves the path to it and the concept of what Qlik Sense will mean for us and our organization constantly evolves.

ABB, a global technology provider that specializes in electrification, robotics, and motion solutions needed to build a solid sustainable strategy to increase productivity. ABB's SAP systems were crucial to operations, however, extracting insights from the data became inefficient. As a leading automation authority, they knew their analytics pipelines had to change to uberize enterprise decision-making with timely access to real-time global data. The combination of Qlik’s Data Integration Platform feeding Snowflake’s modern data cloud with SAP and other data sources is unlocking the hidden value of data at scale, helping create deeper insights faster.

Nicolas Michel , Siemens
Key Achievements:
- Developed and implemented a Business Intelligence (BI) strategy for SI Procurement (EUR 6.5 bln. purchasing volume) from scratch in 2017 with focus of user friendliness and brand constancy. Continuous growth of users.
- Defined a Qlik Sense framework as a guideline for the development of applications
- Built a BI Ambassadors' team, resulting in improved internal cooperation
- Lead two developers in Portugal to meet the increasing BI demand
- Automated around 80% of my monthly reporting by using the BI platform Professional Career in Siemens
- Data Mart Product Manager and Data Mart Business Analyst- Procurement Business Unit Controller
- Procurement Controller [80%] & Part-Time Student
Easy accessible data, executive management reporting and a large userbase on Qlik Sense – all this is the result of years of tuning by the Procurement Controlling department of Siemens Smart Infrastructure. Starting at a diverse tool environment, the efforts to create a monthly report cost the department an immense amount of precious working time. Different interfaces and passwords, not user friendly masks and lack of standardization was the battles the users had to face every month with high manual effort.
All this manual labor was transformed step by step by automatizing the data collection, integrating Qlik Sense, training the users and establishing a guided analytics dashboard with a state of the art functionality. Supported by the SI IT DataMart the data resides in a secured cloud environment powered by automatized data access and complex data models in the background. The results are solid. Siemens realizes four key criteria with their units dashboards:
• Their ease of use by standardization and a single source of truth as well as a connection of multiple sources
• High user acceptance through high quality information, trust in the app and data preparation and time saving for all users
• Efficiency through automatic updates, and single point of entry to all applications
• Cost: No time loss for adapting to different tool user interfaces, saving time to focus on operational tasks to generate business value.
All of this, the Journey and the end result will be shared in this breakout session, a guided and gripping development with the best in class use case to take away.
