Formed as an industrial and computer engineer, I started my career as a Data Engineer at Capgemini in France. In 2015, I joined the ADEO group (third worldwide do it yourself company) working for the Leroy Merlin Brand in France assuming the management of Marketing and Central purchasing data projects. In 2018, 3 weeks before I got married with my wife Marine, I was called in Brazil to assume the responsibility of the data transformation ambitions of the Leroy Merlin local brand. 2022 will be a transition year for me. I should come back to Europe to assume the leadership of another data transformation plan in another brand of the same ADEO group! We will leave Brazil with emotion bringing back our two children born in São Paulo with us.

After a rapid adoption of several areas, the cost and maintenance of infrastructure proved to be an impediment to making Qlik an enterprise platform. In this presentation, the previous scenario will be demonstrated, with a local deploy of the Qlik Sense solution. What were the challenges and problems faced in this scenario? What were the strategic pillars used in the decision-making process to change the On-premises environment to Qlik Cloud? The steps of planning, financial surveys, tests, deployment of the new environment (carried out in 40 days!) and positive impact on the entire Leroy Merlin Brazil operation will be described.

As an architect, Jordana is part of the team that works to implement a program named COI(Integrated Operations Center), which target is to optimize the iron ore value chain, by having more agile decision-make processes and margin maximization for the company. To have a robust Data Integration, capable to attend COI's requirements, Enterprise Architecture team has delivered a foundation of Attunity Replicate to replicate in near real-time a large amount of data from different systems, making information available for stakeholders along entirely Value Chain.
Vale is one of the largest mining companies in the world, operating in 30 countries and with a complex value chain composed of Mines, Mineral Processing, Railroads, Ports, Shipping and Distribution.
Vale’s Integrated Operations Center was implemented to increase data integration and to optimize the iron ore value chain. The vision to shift from local optimization to global optimization, required a large amount of data distributed across many systems in the production chain. Having data as the main pillar to support the IOCs business transformations, Vale turned to Change Data Capture, with Qlik Replicate and Enterprise Manager. This has resulted in:
• Replicate in near real-time (less than 15 minutes) a large amount of data (e.g. 5,2 million records replicated per hour (average of 6 GB per hour)) spread across multiple systems and geographies;
• Quickly enable new data sources replication to multiple Analytics Repositories with reduced effort;
• Centralized management of data replication with a single team administrating the platform;
• Ability to enable new replication servers on different network zones to meet compliance and security requirements to handle industrial data.
Attend this session and learn more about Vale’s interesting data integration journey.

Jozef Úroda , ICT and Security Risk Manager, Tatra Banka
I started as an administrator of Identity Access Management system in Tatra banka, my position included creation of processes of user lifecycle stages. Currently I am responsible for methodology of cyber security in bank. One of my responsibilities is also the creation of security trainings with gamification parameters, oriented mainly on end user's behavior. Moreover, I am leading the team for education of security and the concept #predigitalnubezepcnost (#fordigitalsecurity - https://predigitalnubezpecnost.sk ) in Tatra banka, where our goal is the overall increase of security awareness of employees and clients. I implemented ICT & Security risk management in accordance with new EBA guidelines. I also hold a position of ICT & Security risk manager in Tatra banka.
Did you know that you can built efficient IT Risk Management system using Qlik without major investments of both time and money? Join us for our session with the leading Slovak bank Tatra Banka to explore a solution that significantly automated and simplified the whole IT risk management process, while helping the bank to work interactively with both static and dynamic IT risks. The solution helped to record, manage, analyze and group the IT risks according to the EBA guidelines. From the very low technical details, through the application and business services layer to the granularity of 5 risk areas, to be reported as required. The Bank is now able to review and analyze the risk profile in ICT security across the whole organization. It brought a significant reduction in the workflow of the entire risk management process and the ability to report the overall risk profile of the company at any time. It is now possible to identify exact stage of the risk and owners of the next step of risk processing – everything in one place. Thanks to the solution the bank is now able to effectively enter, record, maintain, manage, evaluate, and approve IT risks including full approval workflow supported by notifications functionality.

Andreas Vasilas , Ikano
I work as a Qlik Developer at Ikano Bank, where I've been working for approximately 1 year. This is my first time working with Qlik and I'm excited to be part of Ikano Banks transformation from Qlikview to Qlik Sense SaaS. Previously I have some Power BI experience which I believe provided me with good experience to easier get into the Qlik world.
With Qlik Sense SaaS, we found the right motivation for ourselves as well as the arguments for investing and taking a leap on our analytics journey. An organization wide cloud- and SaaS first strategy was in place and had paved parts of the path already. When we listen to our users and see what we can achieve today we can say with confidence that we made the right decision. We have a plan and a goal for our SaaS journey, but as we learn, and the platform evolves the path to it and the concept of what Qlik Sense will mean for us and our organization constantly evolves.
