Job summary: 

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. Knowledge and experience in any analytics tools are preferred. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Maintaining and improving product quality and think like a user approaching our software for the first time despite using our products every day. 
  • Exploratory, Integration and Regression/Scalability Testing for new features as well as the product as a whole. 
  • Understanding the scope of feature requirements and creating a test strategy and plan. 
  • Analyzing requirements for new features and create risk lists and test ideas. 
  • Increasing automation coverage by automating functional and integration test cases. 
  • Verification and Validation of defects and features - measure your success not by the number of bugs found, but by the absence of bugs created by team members; the ability to think strategically about quality. 
  • Collaborating with developers during design and development phases to identify defects as early as possible. 
  • Collaborating with Qlik product support to Analyze and investigate defects and problems by customers with an objective to identify possible workarounds. 
  • Working in close collaboration with Qlik support regarding issues reported by customers. 
  • Keeping yourself informed about the latest in technology and software testing. 
  • Analyzing requirements for new features and create risk lists and test ideas. 
  • Participating in the planning for future work for the team. 
  • Increasing automation coverage by automating functional and integration test cases. 

You will bsuccessful iyou have: 

  • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent). 
  • Minimum of 5 years of testing experience, preferably in product development teams. 
  • Experience in exploratory, risk based, integration, and Regression testing of software products. 
  • Good understanding of software Architecture and proficiency in Windows Server and Desktop configuration and environment. 
  • Experience of working with Agile methodology and distributed software systems and in cross functional teams – including developers, architects, support. 
  • Experience of working with of Qlik products will be a big plus. 
  • Knowledge about JavaScript/Go-Lang/NodeJS code to troubleshoot is beneficial. 
  • Experience in automating functional and integration test cases. 
  • Strong sense of responsibility and the ability to take initiatives on your own. 
  • Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Micro Services, Container technologies like Docker, Linux, Windows. 
  • Ability to work effectively with other team members on various aspects of the process including design, testing, and documentation. 
  • Ability to lead on new tasks and guide your team members so that you as a team perform extremely well. 
  • Ability to learn, work with and apply multiple technologies to solve real customer problems and keep yourself up to date with best practices in test and know when to push and when to cooperate in getting them implemented in a large organization. 
  • Strong communication, analyticalinterpersonal skills and ability to work across geographically dispersed teams
