This March, we proudly celebrated Women’s History Month with activities led by our Women in Technology Employee Resource Group (WIT ERG). This year, we intentionally chose “Advancing Women, Advancing Change” as the theme. When women advance, we strengthen our culture, our business, and our collective impact.
Throughout the month, our ERG hosted a series of weekly meaningful conversations, connection opportunities, and ways to take action together.
Week One: Advancing Opportunity
During this week, we held an insightful discussion with Feyi Obafemi, VP Global Employment and Compliance, to explore the policies and global practices that help advance equity and opportunity for women at Qlik.
“Advancing women requires deliberate action, transparency, and accountability. The fireside chat with Feyi explored how real progress is driven by the policies we shape, the systems we build, and the everyday decisions we make. From pay equity and career transparency to fully leveraging the benefits designed to support our well-being, the message was clear: progress must be both visible and actionable. Just as critical is fostering psychological safety—creating environments where women feel empowered to speak up, grow, and lead. Ultimately, advancing women is a shared responsibility. When we actively support, advocate for, and create opportunities for one another, we don’t just drive change, we accelerate it.”

Week Two: Advancing Each Other
To foster meaningful connections, we hosted a coffee chat with a cross-functional panel of women leaders at Qlik, with a focus on what advancement can look like for ourselves and each other. Following the discussion, participants had the opportunity to network and explore mentorship connections.
“Every career journey is unique. During this session, leaders with different paths to success shared their past pivotal moments and ways women have championed them along the way. We explored the importance of sponsorship, open feedback, and the continuous need to support and advocate for others. By trusting in our own capabilities and being willing to learn as we grow, we can advance to new opportunities”

Week Three: Advancing Our Communities
Throughout the week, offices across the globe hosted celebrations featuring women-owned businesses and fundraising efforts supporting local causes. Some of these efforts included our Boston colleagues packing menstrual hygiene kits for girls ages 12–18 and a bake sale in Barcelona to raise funds for Dones Mentores, an organization focused on supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
Week Four: Advancing Impact
To wrap up our celebrations, we had a remarkable conversation with one of this year’s Qlik Connect speakers - Ashleigh Chapman, Founder/CEO of Engage Together, to discuss the fight against human trafficking, and how Engage Together leverages Qlik software for data-driven insights and decisions.
“This conversation between Julie and Ashleigh was incredibly inspiring. It was a powerful reminder that data can be used for good, and seeing how insights are helping create real impact in the fight against human trafficking was both eye-opening and motivating. Ashleigh’s personal journey and resilience were very powerful and helped bring focus to the human side of this work. What stood out most was the reminder that all of us can play a role, and that even small actions can make a real difference.”

During the month, our colleagues also recognized over 80+ women who inspire them here at Qlik!
Our ERG is excited about continuing the conversations from this month at Qlik Connect with Women Who Qlik!
